Dr Richard Fletcher

Dr Richard Fletcher has been a practicing GP for over 15 years, including significant experience working in aged care. He is passionate about putting the patient at the centre of their health care decisions, and the importance of relationship building in achieving the best health outcomes.

Prior to moving to Australia, Dr Fletcher led a British Medical Journal award-winning Primary Healthcare Team in Greater Manchester, UK. There he was responsible for implementing a network of healthcare navigators across GP practices, improving health outcomes whilst also reducing costs.

Dr Fletcher is dedicated to clinical excellence and ensuring medicine is practiced at the cutting edge, he is published in international medical journals. He is also passionate about medical education and served as the local Primary Care Education Lead in the UK, and as a trainer for GP Registrars.

As a Director of Integrated Clinical Healthcare, Dr Fletcher seeks to break down barriers, improve access to care, and get the best health outcomes for his patients.

Dr Aaron Chien

Dr Aaron Chien is a Sutherland Shire based GP with many years of experience. Before moving to Sydney, he finished his general practice training in Tasmania where he practiced aged care as an extended clinical skill.

He is devoted to providing regular quality care for the elderly in the Sutherland Shire community and residential aged care facilities. He collaborates with his patients and their families to achieve desirable outcomes for the patients. Working hand in hand with allied health and clinical specialists he ensures the highest quality of care for his geriatric patients. He believes in healthy aging and the importance of risk minimization in elderly patients, supporting them to enjoy life to the fullest.

Dr Chien is a Director of Integrated Clinical Healthcare, GP supervisor and trains GPs registrars and medical students.

Dr Autumn Chien

General Practitioner

Dr Autumn has been working as a GP in the Sutherland Shire for the last 8 years. She enjoys delivering comprehensive general practice care and has a special interest in women’s health, mental health, preventive care and chronic disease management.

She considers herself to be a caring and personable doctor. She takes time to listen to her patient’s concerns and works in a holistic way to improve the well-being and the health outcomes of her patients.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her two beautiful kids and studying anti-aging medicine.

Dr Mark Hohenberg

Geriatrician

FRACP, FHEA , GAICD, MSC, MBBS, BSc

Mark is a practicing geriatrician working at the intersection of clinical practice, research and industry.

He has excelled in these areas from developing novel clinical services for the SouthWest of Sydney (Community Geriatrics Service), to leading clinical trial and research teams (for new drugs and herbal supplements in Alzheimer’s dementia) and working with industry partners to develop cutting edge technology for healthcare (Primal Pictures VR). Mark also works in several corporate advisory and director roles in healthcare and medtech.

Mark has a strong interest in developing integrated health services, which have been proven across the world to improve outcomes for patients, families, staff and the health service. Integrated care is especially important, though challenging in geriatric medicine. Mark works with outstanding colleagues and teams to ensure not just integrated care is successfully rolled out to our communities, but you have the opportunity to improve your health through it.

Dr Steven Ma

Skin Cancer Doctor

MD, BSc (Physio), FRACGP, DipDerm

Dr Steven Ma is a skin cancer doctor and GP practising in the Sutherland Shire. Steven’s interest is in the early detection and management of skin cancer which is now the primary focus of his clinical practice.

After completing his training as a GP, Steven’s interest in skin cancer medicine led him to pursue additional post graduate training in this field. He is a member of the Skin Cancer College of Australasia and has completed further postgraduate certifications in skin cancer medicine, including a diploma in dermoscopy and a certificate in applied dermoscopy from the Australian College of Dermatologists. He is currently studying to complete a Masters of Medicine in Skin Cancer from the University of Queensland. He has experience in skin cancer procedures having worked across multiple skin cancer clinics in Sydney and Wollongong.

He believes in delivering high-quality skin cancer care where attention to detail and a holistic approach are key.

Chris Dyson

Exercise Physiologist

AEP, AES, MBA Fin

Chris is an Exercise Physiologist and previous professional and Australian-representative water polo player. His passion is to use exercise to empower his patients with skills and confidence to reach their goals, while simultaneously managing their health condition, injury or illness.

Chris has an extensive coaching background working in community and high-performance sport, and in the fitness and health sector. Chris enjoys working with people of all backgrounds and ages and in particular aged care.

Chris is passionate about the role of exercise as part of the multi-disciplinary team. He is actively involved teaching university students during their fitness-sector work placements. Chris is an advocate for integrated care as a route to maximum patient wellbeing.

Ruth Holt

Registered Nurse

BSN, GCNG, Cert IV TAE

Ruth has an extensive nursing career spanning more years than she cares to admit. She is passionate about motivating patients to achieve their health goals and loves tailoring care to support wellness in elderly patients.

She has more than 20 years in primary care including experience and expertise in the care of the older person. She has recently completed a Graduate Certificate in Gerontology and further studies in caring for people with Dementia.

Ruth has worked as a Community Nurse and Practice Nurse in both Australia and the UK. She has worked as a Case Manager for Transitional Aged Care Service in Sutherland Shire where she supported older people requiring specialised care and support during their transition from hospital to home. She has facilitated diabetes education and enjoys helping patients live life to the full.

Dr Liz Angel

PhD (Psychology), BA (Honours), PGDip (Psychological Practice), RN (non practicing)

Liz is a registered Psychologist who first trained as a Registered Nurse. She has years of experience providing psychological therapy to adults and older adults in a variety of settings. She especially enjoys a person-centred approach to her work.

Liz’s areas of special interest and experience include:

  • Mental health problems: including depression; anxiety; mood disorders
  • Trauma
  • Grief and Bereavement
  • Adjustment

Liz is a member of AAPi (Australian Association of Psychologists inc.).

Liz is also passionate about creative arts and loves being in nature. She believes everyone has value and life can hold meaning in each and every circumstance.

Caringbah Physiotherapy

The team at Caringbah Physiotherapy are dedicated professionals who are passionate about assisting older patients to return to everyday activities following injury, illness or frailty.

Directors Briohny Day and Clem Ringstad along with Elyse McLennan and practice founder Bruce Overton have served the Sutherland Shire for well over 30 years in a variety of clinical settings including hospital, acute care , rehabilitation and residential aged care settings.

They have a strong belief in the importance of integrated care as a means of achieving the best outcomes for patients and assisting them to lead lives that are fulfilling, productive and meaningful.

Tranquility Massage Therapy

The practitioners at Tranquility Massage Therapy specialise in gentle, nurturing techniques that are specifically tailored to address the unique needs of older individuals, including reduced pain, improved circulation, enhanced mobility and a sense of peace and relaxation.

Kellie McDermott, the founder of Tranquility massage therapy, has been a remedial massage practitioner for over 20 years and is a teacher at TAFE NSW. She has a team of dedicated practitioners who are caring and compassionate and take a client centred approach to care.

All their practitioners are registered with the Association of Massage Therapists (AMT), and have extensive experience in providing remedial massage in the Sutherland Shire. They have a focus on working collaboratively with other health professionals to achieve the best possible outcomes for their clients.
